carl-johan gustafsson
SUPPLY CHAIN SERVICE MANAGER | ALKO (FI)
I am Carl-Johan Gustafsson and been working with logistics in various different roles for few decades.
My first steps withing logistics was taken at Nokia Salo factory where I was developing and improving factory internal logistics. The scope was to develop processes from incoming materials to finished and packed products ready to be shipped to warehouse docking station. Curiosity grew to understand what happens after finished goods leave the factory. This curiosity along with strong manufacturing process understanding lead me to be in charge of Nokia Salo factory outbound logistics regarding customers globally. After understanding the outbound logistics from one factory perspective the curiosity kept growing. The next logical step was to understand the global logistics and supply chain view. This came into reality as a Europe Logistics manager. In this position I gained understanding of global logistics in much wider view. The scope was to be responsible for deliveries to customers in Europe and Eurasia from different factories around the globe. Then it came time to take a deeper dive to understand more about inbound logistics as Customs and Forwarding manager at Valmet automotive which is a contract manufacturer for example to Mercedes-Benz. Naturally the outbound flow was included as well. Currently I work for Alko Oy as Supply Chain expert. My current main responsibilities are domestic logistics including web-shop logistics and Inbound logistics globally.
