Bjoern Neal Kirchner, a graduated economist from Munich and London universities, has almost 20 years’ experience in logistics and supply chain management at senior level. Shifting twice between China and Europe, he has worked in 5 countries moving along the entire supply chain. He gained experience in emerging markets and led teams through challenging SAP-implementations and post-merger integration projects. With the focus on building high performance teams, Bjoern has been engaged in various business process optimization and organizational transformation projects. Currently, he is leading the Global Supply Chain team in Amsterdam for Adhesive Technologies of HENKEL.

In 2012, I moved to Bosch Power Tools as Logistic Manager to LA and in 2016 I took the responsibility to manage Measuring Tools worldwide as Logistic Director for this division.

Asger S B Lauritsen

Asger Lauritsen is CPO and member of the Group Executive Management at FLSmidth. As such, he is responsible for the company's end-to-end supply chain functions.

    Asger has over 20+ years of operations, procurement, manufacturing, supply chain, innovation and project experience from large complex engineering, process and transportation companies. Previous to FLSmidth, he was double hatting as CPO and CTO at DS Norden, and earlier in his career he held several positions in Maersk, from CEO of Maersk Pakistan to heading IT, Operations and, in his last role, being Chief Procurement Officer.

 

Since joining FLSmidth in 2016, Asger has led the company through a procurement and supply chain transformation, drastically reducing the number of suppliers to focus on partnerships as well as reorganizing the supply chain through nearshoring to make it more resilient. This transformation has also been digital, and throughout the pandemic these initiatives have proven their worth for the company – helping FLSmidth avoid major supply chain disruptions as well as maintain efficient and engaging workflows.

    FLSmidth is one of the leading suppliers of engineering, equipment and services to the cement and mining industries globally with more than 13,000 employees. Every year, the company has around 750K supplier deliveries and 250K customer deliveries.

Thomas Nilsson is an experienced Supply Chain professional. Today he is Head of the Global Supply Operations in Sobi, which means ensuring all supply chain activities within supply planning, distribution, transportation and trade compliance are operationally efficient. In an external supply chain delivering products to patients with rare diseases, Thomas has a high focus on the product availability as well as the end-to-end perspective. My organization is accountable and responsible for all purchasing related activities for both direct and indirect side, including logistics functions. I have worked in procurement my whole career, first in the public sector and now almost 10 years in the private sector. I have seen pros and cons in both worlds and always tried to implement the pros from the public to private sector and tried to avoid the cons. I believe that in Procurement organization it’s extremely important to build good relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The building of successful relationships is a key for successful leadership and business.

Annaleena Mäkilä

Managing Director, CEO | Finnish Port Association (FI)

Mrs. Annaleena Mäkilä is holding a position of Managing Director, CEO of Finnish Port Association (FPA) since 2012. She is elected as Chair of European Sea Ports Organization ESPO in November 2020 after a six years’ period of holding vice-chairmanship in ESPO. 

Before joining Finnish Port Association Mrs. Mäkilä worked at Confederation of Finnish Industries (EK) in various positions for almost two decades. Latest she executed as a Member of Board of Directors the developing of the strategy of Confederation and being head of regional operations in Finland. 

While having a strong expertise on labour law jurisprudence Mrs. Mäkilä has also served as a political adviser for Minister of Justice and Minister of Finance in Finland (1997-1999). Before working in the Prime Minister's Office she executed advocacy for a ten year's period.

David’s varied background enables him to draw on not only his various global experiences, sector diversity and responsibilities within many Public Bodies as well as FTSE 100 companies but also the experience gained in the Construction and Property sectors at the beginning of his career. He therefore has a real feel for the commercial and business drivers of the corporate customer and the private trader. He also understands what it takes to deliver sustainable bottom line results in the optimum time frame.
